Irumudi Lands In Controversy Over….
Ravi Teja’s devotional film Irumudi has come under criticism from the Andhra Pradesh Teachers Federation (APTF) over certain scenes related to the education system.
The association has demanded the removal of these scenes, claiming they show government schools, students and teachers in a negative way.
APTF leaders Chennupati Manjula and Basavalingarao said films can strongly influence public opinion and urged filmmakers to handle sensitive issues carefully.
They alleged that the film portrays a government school teacher negatively, while also naming a Zilla Parishad High School in Sileru and using uniforms worn by government school students.
The APTF called the scenes demeaning and unnecessary and asked the makers to remove them. The Irumudi team is yet to respond. Meanwhile the film is enjoying a strong run at the box office.
